Sudoku puzzle
Have you ever come across this numbered puzzle anywhere? I think most of you do, it’s just a matter of you’re interested to try one or not. If no is your answer then its okay I’m going to explain it in the simplest way possible. (explanation below every figure)
This game is very simple (not a rocket science stuff). It’s all about number placement. There’s no algorithm, calculation or any scientific theory to it so, no excuse of “I’m not good in Math”. It is very easy once you master the concept and start playing it regularly. You’ll start developing your own techniques and later on when you read a tutorial somewhere on the net, you’re going to think “this is what I usually do”

The very basics Sudoku puzzle contains a total of 81 square grids arrange in 9 by 9 order. All those boxes are grouped into 9, 3 by 3 sub-grids. That is the first basic thing you need to know. Confusing? It’s okay; continue reading as I’ll edge you closer to become a Sudoku master. (too much)
Second is how the number is arranged. We have 9 vertical grids and 9 horizontal grids. Each vertical and horizontal grid need to be fill with number from 1-9. Each sub-grid also needs to be filled with number 1-9. So, there should be no repetition of one number in each row, column and sub grid. The number in each column, row and sub-grid will be unique from 1 to 9.
Using the basic concept explained above that’s it!, you’re now ready to rock. Take the puzzle below as an example. Let’s try to solve it.

1) Look at the first three columns. There are ‘6’ in 1st and 3rd column. The other ‘6’ should be placed on the 2nd column. But in which sub grid? Should be the left most sub-gird because the other two sub-grids already have ‘6’. (answer in red)
2) Same concept, now look at the middle row sub-group. There are ‘7’ on the top and middle sub-grid. The other ‘7’ missing should be? (answer in green)
3) Another one, the bottom most sub-group. We have ‘8’ at the left and middle subgroup. The other one? (Answer in blue)
Here’s few tips and tricks to a cases you might encounter;

Look at the yellow-boxed sub-group. As that particular column already have number ’9′ the only possible answer is the one in red.

Number ’1′ is not eligible for the entire row and column stroked with red as both already have ’1′. So, obvious answer should be in red.

Almost the same.

Only number ’2′ is missing in that column.
The rest is just the repetition of the same concept. you can play this puzzle online here, here, or here <–Malaysian. So, happy Sudokuing and good luck!
